How can I possibly be holy?

Over the past several days my daily Bible study has come from Exodus.  In particular, I’ve been reading page after page of commands, descriptions, accumulation, building, and consecration of the holy items for the tabernacle.  God’s attention and demand of detail is amazing, and quite frankly, a bit frightening.  I feel for ol’ Bezalel.  The  Word of God says that he was gifted in all manners of crafts and artistry so that he could accomplish all that God commanded. When the Heart Beats

If we are in agreement with Peter’s confession, and that is our heart, then that will be the heart of the church.  However, just like many of you already know, a heart that does not beat is not much use.  Our confession that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of God must cause certain actions.  Our heart must beat.  Today, we look at the early church as it begins to beat.

The Heart of the Church

Ephesians 5:23 states, “For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.” So if Christ is the head of the Church, which is plain from scripture, what is the heart of the church? What is the “most comprehensive term for the authentic church”? What is the basis of the “feelings, desires, passions, thought, understanding and will”? Where is “the center of the Church”?
